Description:
The Quadro16x is ideal for the small to medium businesses with a higher need for FXS extensions. It is an IP router, SIP gateway and IP
PBX all in one box. The Quadro16x is equipped with sixteen FXS ports for connection of standard analog POTS phones or fax machines.
Eighteen additional SIP IP phones can be configured as local extensions. In addition, there are four FXO ports for connection to the PSTN.
With a built-in QoS router, LAN and voice traffic can be routed to the Internet, eliminating the need for an additional IP router. The Quadro
incorporates a stateful inspection firewall, NAT, DHCP client and server, IPSec VPN, and web browser configuration. With the purchase of
a software key (SKU-QUADRO-0720), the Quadro16x can expand to support 16 more IP phone extensions, bringing the total to 50 analog
and IP extensions. One additional software key (SKU-QUADRO-0720) can be purchased to add 16 more IP phone extensions, brining the
total to 66 analog and IP extensions. Note: One free Epygi softphone, the Quadro Communications Manager (QCM), license is
included with the base system. The Quadro 16x includes 18 IP Phone ports and 16 FXS ports. Two expansion keys of 16 ports
each can be incrementally purchased to increase the system to a maximum of 50 IP Phone extensions for a total of 66 extensions.
This bundle includes eight Aastra Powertouch 390 Screenphones specially pre-programmed for the Quadro PBX. This stylish phone gives you one-touch access to Quadro features.
How it works
Although using the Quadro is easy, it is built on a very sophisticated and complex system. Inside the Quadro, two communications infrastructures come together - the telephone network and the Internet. At the core of the Quadro is the Call Manager running on rock solid Linux software. The Call Manager sends voice streams through the digital signal processor for voice processing. All this occurs in a 1.77" tall box no larger than an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper.
It's Powerful
The Quadro has many PBX (Private Branch Exchange) features such as auto attendant, voice mail, 3-way conferencing, call waiting, call forwarding, and call statistics to name a few (see below for a more detailed list of features). It even has advanced high-end features such as unified messaging (voicemail sent via email). But it's more than a powerful PBX. The Quadro is also packed with an amazing array of network features including a firewall and a virtual private network (VPN) for secure, private voice and data communications. The Quadro is truly a converged communications platform, built to world-quality standards, and available at a fraction of the cost of any other competing solution.
It's Flexible
Up to four FXO lines go to your local phone company so you can make calls from home or on the road. When you call from outside the office, Quadro's Caller ID recognizes your mobile phone number and immediately authenticates your access to the Quadro. Just dial your associate's extension and the Quadro routes your call on the best route possible either down the hall or around the globe.
If a call comes in for you and you're not at your desk, the Quadro will seamlessly send the call to your cell phone, without the caller knowing it's being forwarded.
Have multiple offices? The Quadro will connect them together seamlessly into one integrated office so everyone can easily call each other and transfer calls between offices at no cost. The Quadro will even create a data VPN between locations, eliminating the need for additional devices. It will also act as your network router, with QOS so voice traffic is prioritized.
Since the Quadro also contains call forwarding and call routing instructions, people who are out of the office can still be reached automatically. New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo or Buenos Aires, the world becomes your virtual office. Communications has never been so inexpensive, flexible or convenient.
It Saves You Money
Just connect a Quadro to your broadband Internet service (Ethernet or ADSL or SDSL). The Quadro automatically configures itself. And in minutes, you are able to make voice over IP calls for free. Connect up to four ordinary phones into it (Quadro 16x), or assign four PBX trunks so that your entire office can use the Quadro. The voice quality through the Quadro's digital signal processor (DSP) will almost always be better than using your current long distance company.
When there isn't a Quadro device on the other end, you can still call free of charge to any IP phone or computer. By using a VoIP gateway service (ITSP), you can add more phone lines, and talk long distance to anyone on the public phone network for pennies per minute. You don't even need the ITSP's router - the phone numbers/DIDs are provisioned directly into the Quadro. Click here to sign up for a Vonage BizPlus plan.
